New Moss & Aqne Products Review

When MOSS products go on sale, which is RARE, I HAVE to make an order. There was a Memorial Day sale and I had to snatch up these two beauties. These are two I had never tried before so I felt this was a great time for a review. Not long before the sale I placed my first Aqne Pharmacy order as well. I've already reviewed a couple products from my order but didn't do a review on all of them so I threw the rest of those in this post to review as well!

I broke the top to my Ambrosia Del Cerrado :(
(L to R)
MOSS Purist- This oil has a great texture, it feels very "creamy" (as creamy as an oil can feel) and luxurious. My skin drinks this stuff up. Clear Res is so good at balancing my skin out, but this is what I use when my skin needs MORE. It is more moisturizing, not as light and dry. It doesn't contain any hemp seed oil, which is a dry oil included in Clear Res. Purist doesn't have a strong essential oil scent, it's more of a neutral clean scent, it smells more of the carrier oils. I am finding myself loving the smell more and more. I love using this oil at night, especially if my skin has had a rough day after all the sun and sunscreen. This will probably be an oil I will be drawn to more in the winter months, but I am still using it for night time now as my skin has been dried out from all the chlorine. Overall I think this is a lovely oil, very anti-inflammatory, so good for healing acne, and great for oily skin. Yes please and thank you!

MOSS Clean Canvas- This oil is made for sensitive skin and only has 5 ingredients. I make a product very similar to this (give and take a few ingredients) and I love the one I make, so I decided to go for it and try this one. As expected, I love it. There are no essential oils in this one because it is made for the most sensitive of skin types. It has a beautiful earthy scent. I had to get used to this smell, but once I did I really began to love it. I love the way this feels on the skin and I can use this morning or night depending on how my skin is feeling that day. There are few ingredients in this oil, but it still packs a punch. So many good things in here. I love black bacuri butter from Brazil which is SO good for healing the skin. Camellia oil (tea seed oil) is very anti-inflammatory, sinks into the skin quickly, and is quite hydrating. This also includes tamanu oil which I believe has been one of the oils that has helped my skin SO much. It does such a stand up job of healing acne and scars. Needless to say, clean canvas is a winner.

EarthWiseBeauty Ambrosia Del Cerrado Liquid Moisturizer- This has the feeling of a toner moisturizer hybrid. I love using this on a hot day after I work out or in the morning if I need a pick me up. I've found myself applying this mostly in the morning to help wake me up, I keep it in the fridge so it's cool and refreshing on the skin. I REALLY like this moisturizer. It's so light and breathable and perfect for summer. It sinks in to the skin quickly. The smell is bright with a light fruity/citrus scent. With aloe, pequi fruit oil, and buriti oil, it is anti-aging, and great for oily/acne prone skin. My skin LOVES this stuff. I will use this by itself or follow with another moisturizer if I feel my skin needs it. It works beautifully either way. Next on my list is the Moroccan Garden Eye Cream!

Roccoco Decongesting Porefection- such a great lightweight serum! I won't say a whole lot about this because I've already done a full review on it. If you want to check that out click here.

Zatik Argan and Yarrow Suncreen Moisturizer- This is a great sunscreen moisturizer at a great price. I love the way it sinks in and doesn't leave a white cast. I've also done a full review on this in my battle of the sunscreen post. Check that out here.

Simplicity

When I think of a simple outfit, a white tee and jeans is the first thing I think of. My style has become very simple lately and I love wearing outfits like this with a pop of color in my accessories. I love this little necklace I got from the jewelry show it's perfect for layering with anything, I know I'm going to get a ton of wear out of this guy! I also loovee these bracelets. In case you don't know, my favorite color is turquoise so I'm obsessed with these bracelets and this long necklace from the babe.

I love how simple these sandals are and they go with everything. It's been a challenge to find the perfect pair of white sandals and when I saw this pair of Steve Maddens I knew I had to have them. They're comfortable, versatile, and so cute. Shop a similar pair here.

And can we talk about this bag? IN LOVE. This was my graduation present to myself and I absolutely love it. My parents got me the matching wallet for graduation, which was much needed! It goes with everything and it's perfect for summer. I love the size and the two tone colors. I sure love me some Kate Spade. Similar here and this one is on sale!

Of course I have to have my coffee. This coffee was DELICIOUS. We found a cute little coffee shop (of course) in Austin called Summer Moon to stop on our way back to Houston. They make their own special sweetened "moon milk" and use that in their lattes and capuccinos. SO GOOD, we will be going back for sure! We went to Austin last weekend with the babe's parents to look at apartments for him. We found one and it's so nice! He moves in 2 two weeks. I can't wait to go visit him and explore Austin! Although, not looking forward to being away from him and for the first time ever... dating long distance (insert crying face).

Just a quick life update...
I start school next week! Friday is my orientation day and then I start school Monday at 9 am! I am a little anxious and A LOT excited for this new chapter in my life. Anxious because my boyfriend starts his orientation week the week after I start school and he will then be 6 hours and 41 minutes away from me... excited because we will both be working towards our careers and doing new things that we love. I will keep you all updated on here and share my new experiences!

Have a great week!

Roccoco Serums Review

I recently placed my first Aqne Pharmacy order including the Roccoco Decongesting Porefection Serum and received a sample of the Clarifying C Serum as well.

As soon as I got my order I tried out the Clarifying C serum and immediately loved how it made my skin feel. I really like how this serum feels, it quickly sinks into the skin and I follow this with a moisturizer (either a balm or one of my moisturizers). Love the combo! This serum is light and leaves a matte finish to the skin. It has a pretty neutral smell, nothing overpowering. I used this anytime I felt my skin was feeling congested, if I saw any little blackheads or small blemishes. I've already used up my sample, I got about 6 uses out of it. Putting this on my list for sure!

The Decongesting Porefection Serum is a product that I feel is such a God sent. There was a major gap missing in my skincare regimen that this serum filled. When I wash my face and moisturize I do it in the morning when I wake up and when/if I decide to put makeup on,  I don't do it and get ready to leave the house for another few hours, especially on the weekends. Or if I run errands I don't usually get fully ready I just throw something on so if I go to dinner or somewhere that evening I like to put a little more makeup on. Typically I like to workout, come home and do my skincare routine, eat breakfast and drink my coffee and chill/run errands before I get ready to do anything else. When it comes time to get ready, my skin doesn't have that fresh face feeling anymore. I didn't have anything to use to refresh my skin before putting on makeup, I didn't want to rewash and dry my skin out, and I didn't want things to be too greasy either. This is where this serum comes in handy. I use this right before applying my makeup and it creates the perfect canvas to paint on.
Overall, I LOVE the texture of this serum, and I love that it leaves a beautiful matte finish to the skin, BUT the scent is not my favorite. It was definitely something I had to get used to. The first time I used it I was like "this is weird...ehhhhh." I still don't like the smell, it's pretty rough, but the product is so good that I look past the smell and it's totally worth it.

I'm really liking the Roccoco products so far! If you have any recommendations let me know what to try next!

Fabletics

I love having cute outfits to work out in, I feel like when I'm put together it helps my motivation and pushes me to go to the gym. As much as I love Lululemon, the price is SO high I can't justify the splurge as much as I'd like to. Of course I do every now and then because I can't help myself, but I have now found a great alternative with Fabletics. Fabletics is a subscription based service where they suggest new outfits for you each month starting at $49.95 for the whole outfit. Compared to Lulu this is such a great price for an ENTIRE outfit and the quality is amazing. The best part is you can skip the month if you want to. I was a little hesitant at first because I've had a subscription like this before, but the skip the month was not an option. I was unaware of that so I got screwed one month and was charged when I didn't even receive anything BUT this is not how this works... Skip whenever you want and you won't be charged! When you sign up you become VIP status, which gives you that extra discount on all of their products.

My shirt looks wrinklier than it actually is is... The darker blue on is burnout and goes low in the back to show off the sports bra. The lighter blue one is criss cross in the back. The red one also dips low in the back, this one is SO comfortable. I wore this one in my fitness post all about back, you can check that out here. They have great sales on shirts and tanks so I have a lot of them and they are perfect for mixing and matching! I also have a few headbands (not pictured) that I really like as well.
I have loved everything I've ordered from them so far, everything has been so comfortable and cute. If something doesn't fit they have a no fuss return policy and they will send you a return label and ship you a new size. I love to mix and match everything from them,. Not only do they have workout clothes, but they also have leisure wear and they just brought out a swim line! I always look forward to my new outfit suggestions each month, and if I don't like them or don't have the money I just skip and wait for next months. If you end up deciding you want to get something after you've skipped that's okay you can still get an outfit at the VIP price! Another thing I love is that you can get "points" for buying and reviewing. The more points you get, the more free stuff you can get. You get 2 points for every dollar you spend and 20 for each review. There are levels of points, first is the 300 points and with that you can get a free water bottle (like the one pictured), headbands, hats, anything smaller like that. The next level is 700 points and with that you can get basic staples like tanks and bralettes. The highest is 2000 points and you can get their more popular shirts or leggings just for reviewing, thats pretty awesome!
Learn more at www.fabletics.com
BTW I am in no way sponsored by them by the way, I just love their stuff and wanted to share my experience with them!
If you want to see these on, I wear these outfits in a lot of my Instagram fitness posts!

Let me know if you check them out!

Battle of the sunscreens

I have been a competitive swimmer since the age of 4 and now I am a swim coach so I know a good bit about the importance of a good sunscreen. I am in the sun every single day so I make sure I wear sunscreen. I've tested so many and almost every one of them has broken me out. My skin HATES it. In fact my skin almost always looks worse in the summer because of the constant sunscreen and chlorine. I reek of it during the summer months and I've been on the hunt for a good sunscreen that doesn't break me out.

(L to R)

1. Zatik Argan and Yarrow Sunscreen Moisturizer- this sunscreen has a great texture, it's very lightweight and sinks into the skin quickly. I love that I'm not left with that yuck greasy feeling. This doesn't leave a white cast which is such a plus! It has zinc as the active ingredient and it doesn't break me out! Because it does have that zinc/sunscreen type smell, the longer I wear it I start to smell it. I don't love that smell, but thats probably because I've constantly been in a pool with sunscreen on since the age of 4, so it brings that chlorine drenched smell to mind. Not that this smells like gross chlorine, that's just what I associate the zinc smell with. Overall this product does a great job, it has great protection and doesn't break me out. I use this one if I know I will be outside for longer periods of time, I don't use it as an everyday sunscreen although you can do that. It has such a great texture that it can be used in place of moisturizer or along with another moisturizer and can be worn under makeup. This one is also a GREAT price! It's the least expensive of the three. Definitely a winner.

2. MOSS Halo- I love love love my halo sunscreen powder. This one uses zinc as well. I mix this with either one of my facial oils or one of my moss oils. I recently ran out of Clear Res so now I mix it with one of my newer oils. Depending on how much powder you mix in with the oil will determine if there's a white cast or not. When I went to the beach I ran out of clear res and only had about 4 drops of it left to mix with this and I was PASTY white. On a normal day I wouldn't have used as much powder and would use a drop or 2 extra of oil. This one is my every day go-to sunscreen with my oil in the morning. Love this stuff!

3. Coola mineral sunscreen- I got a sample of the tinted version of this sunscreen and liked it enough to buy the full size. I ended up getting the full size of the cucumber one, not really sure why. Just a heads up I like the tinted one better. This sunscreen feels good on the skin but I'm not sure how I feel about the smell of it (the cucumber one that is). The active ingredients in this one are both titanium dioxide and zinc so this one MAY cause slight irritation. It does leave a slight white cast which is part of the reason I like the slightly tinted version better. Not sure how well this would work on darker skin tones because the tint is quite light. I used this one a good bit on my beach trip and my skin didn't come back in the best condition. I'm not saying that this was the problem, I honestly think that being outside, getting sweaty, and having any sunscreen on ALL DAY doesn't make my skin happy. I like that this sunscreen leaves a matte finish on the skin and doesn't feel greasy. I would definitely use a moisturizer before this one as it doesn't really add any moisture to the skin and will accentuate any dry patches. This one is also great to wear under makeup. This is a good one, but not my favorite.

Hope this helps!
