I could write on wisdom for weeks, but today I will quickly share something that was put before me this morning. As I was doing my quiet time, I opened my Bible up to Proverbs and just started reading right where I opened. I have always loved Proverbs and thought I had read the entire book, but as I was reading this morning I became captivated by this chapter. I had opened up to Chapter 8 and was amazed at what I was reading. The imagery of wisdom as a person in this chapter is beautiful.
Proverbs shows just how important it is to have wisdom, to crave wisdom, and to seek wisdom out with all you have.

"When there were no watery depths, I was given birth,
    when there were no springs overflowing with water;
25 before the mountains were settled in place,
    before the hills, I was given birth,
26 before he made the world or its fields
    or any of the dust of the earth.
27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,
    when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above
    and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 when he gave the sea its boundary
    so the waters would not overstep his command,
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
Then I was constantly at his side

I was filled with delight day after day,
    rejoicing always in his presence,
31 rejoicing in his whole world
    and delighting in mankind."
Proverbs 8:24-31

Wisdom WAS before anything else came into being. I love the way this paints a picture of wisdom coming to life before anything else, how it's by God's side constantly and rejoicing in everything he does.
SO many amazing things come along with seeking and finding wisdom...

"Listen to my instruction and be wise;
    do not disregard it.
34 Blessed are those who listen to me,
    watching daily at my doors,
    waiting at my doorway.
35 For those who find me find life
    and receive favor from the Lord.
36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
    all who hate me love death.”
Proverbs 8:33-36

I don't know about you, but that's the life I want, being blessed by God, receiving favor from the Lord and finding LIFE.  Proverbs is full of wisdom and if you seek it out you will find it!

"I love those who love me,
    and those who seek me find me."

Happy Friday!
