My most loved for February

I know I just posted my January favorites, but oh well, February is a shorter month and I'm ahead of the game getting out my February favorites! Things have been super busy around here lately, especially today. Right now I'm in between studying for the two tests that I have this week (one Thursday and one Friday). I am SO ready to get them over with and just be done with this week. I feel like I just don't have enough time to do all of the things I have to get done and I am definitely feeling the stress right about now. I'm trying to keep my cool and just do one thing at a time and not worry about the next, and I have been pretty productive today so that's good. As you can see, I've been changing things a bit on my blog and I'm still trying to get the hang of all this stuff. I'll continue to work on it until I get it the way I want it, but for now it will have to work. Now back to my favorites...

1. First up is NYX liner pencil in Taupe

I LOVE this so much. I have been using it for so many different things lately. It can be used to contour your nose, and your cheekbones for a really chiseled look. I really like using it on my bottom lash line for that shadowy look underneath my eyes. It's not "too much". It can also be used to line your lips and for filling in your eyebrows.

2. Clinique airbrush concealer
I've been using this underneath my eyes and down the center of my nose to highlight. It is very brightening and I really like it as a highlighter. There is only three shades so thats kind of disappointing, but the middle one is perfect for me.

3. MAC lipstick in Peach Blossom
Yes, I finally got it! My boyfriend got this for me for Valentine's Day (I may have hinted a few times). I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. It is the perfect peachy nude and I have been wearing it so much.

4. Trader Joe's natural facial cleansing pads with tea tree oil
I have been loving tea tree oil lately. It is so good for my skin and I love the way it feels on (not the way it smells for sure). I made my own tea tree water (5% pure tea tree oil and 95% water) and have been using it as a toner after I wash my face every morning and night. I like to use these pads if I've worn makeup, because it really gives my skin that squeaky clean feel. I also use them if my skin just feels gross halfway through the day. They are very strong, but I like that feeling and I definitely think that they are helping my skin out tremendously.

What have you been loving lately?

Happy hump day!

Updated Beauty Wish List

This is my wish list that I have composed over my no shopping month and it's quite a list!
  • I tried the tea tree water toner from Lush once before and I really liked it, so I want to get a travel size that I can use on the go and have with me whenever my face needs refreshing.
  • I have very oily skin and I've heard that the MUFE velvet matte works great for oily skin. My makeup collections is kind of lacking in the foundation department, so I really want to try something new and invest in a few more! This goes for the Chanel Vitalumiere as well. That's another foundation I'd really like to try! Has anyone tried either of these that would recommend them?
  • Moving on to the beauty blender. I have not tried it yet and I always see people raving about this product and I really really REALLY want to try it! That's probably of the things I will buy first and I can't wait!
  • I saw the Hawaiian Orchid O.P.I. nail polish on a blog I was reading through and this color is absolutely gorgeous! It's a pinkish color and would be perfect for spring time!
  • I am in dire need of a new bronzer. I've never invested in this area and now that I'm into highlighting and contouring, I really need a new one. I don't know if the NYX one will be best but I think it may be worth a shot. I've also hear really good things about the Too Faced one as well, and would like to give that one a try too!
  • I have tons of brushes, but they're something that I can't get enough of. I always feel like I never have enough! I've seen a few bloggers using the real techniques limited edition set and they look really nice. I love real techniques brushes and they are such a great price! I want to get my hands on this set ASAP.
  • And last on the list is setting spray. I have a mattifying one from NYX that I haven't tried yet, but I've heard really good things about the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. The other day when I was browsing in ULTA I saw that they had a travel size of this and I will definitely be picking that up next time I go in to try it out!
Well that's it for today, I hope everyone is having a great week so far! Hopefully I'll get some time this week (in between writing a paper and doing tons of homework) before Valentines Day to do a couple of date night makeup tutorials!

January Favorites

We're already 10 days in to February! I feel like it was just New Years! This semester is flying by so far, but it's going well. This post is definitely late, but hey better late than never, right? Here it goes...

1. Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter
I didn't know about this stuff when I bought it. I was just browsing around in my local Trader Joe's and stumbled upon it and decided to pick some up and give it a try. This stuff seriously is SO amazing, and I don't even like the smell of coconut or anything coconut for that matter. It's made with shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E.  Not only does it smell good, but it feels like a dream when you put it on. It makes my skin feel so soft and I love putting this on after I take a bath. It's also not expensive which is a big plus.

2. Tarte BB cream and primer (in Light)
Not only is it all natural ingredients and cruelty free, but so far it hasn't broken me out which is what I was looking for in a BB cream. I don't like to have to apply foundation every single time I want to put some makeup on, so when I got an Ulta gift card for Christmas I decided to find a BB cream that would be easy to apply, didn't break me out, and was quick and hassle free. This stuff glides on my face so easily and just melts into my skin. It gives me an even finish and surprisingly good coverage for a BB cream. This is definitely a product I have been loving so far.

3. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I've seen many bloggers rave over this brush and swear by it so I decided to give it a whirl and I'm so glad I did. This brush is a great size, and a great price (at about $8). I've been reaching for this brush almost everyday and I feel like you can use it for many different things, just whatever works for you. It can be a good multi-purpose brush!

4. Yogi Super Antioxidant Green Tea
This stuff doesn't just taste delicious, it's also really good for you! It's packed with antioxidants (the name gives that away) so I feel good after I drink some. I love love love drinking tea, and anything hot really. My throat has been hurting lately probably from yelling at my job because it's so loud at an indoor pool you have to yell to be heard. I've been drinking a lot of tea to help soothe my throat and I've reached for this one quite a bit. It doesn't just taste like a normal green tea, it's got a little extra flavor to it that I really like. Also, they always have cute little encouraging sayings on their strings which I look forward to each time I open a pack!

Hope everyone has a great week!
