Beauty Wish List

I love looking at all the Fall Collections and there are a good bit of products that I would LOVE to add to my collection.
From the Dior Fall Collection: Mystic Metallics
Diorshow Fusion Mono: Cosmos
I love the blue trend going on this fall and will definitely be on board with trying that out very soon!

This color is absolutely gorgeous.
Mac Indulge Fall Collection
Palace Pedigreed (dark plum)

I love both of these colors and I really want the one on the left. I love the little bit of sparkle it has!
By Design
Feed the Senses

I love Chanel products. They're have such a luxurious feel to them and this color is so lovely and perfect for fall!
Rouge Coco Shine: Espirit
This is the perfect fall smokey eye quad.
Les 4 Ombres: Mystere

That's all for now! Off to study for my accounting test!

Daily Observations

Good morning blogging world! Why am I up so early you ask? Because I scheduled a 7:30 class which was definitely not a smart idea. Especially for me. because I love love love my sleep. Anyways, walking around campus going from class to class, I've noticed a few things about some peoples "style" I guess you could say, that just doesn't look right that I would like to address.

1. If you wear only foundation and nothing else (especially the wrong kind of foundation) IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE YOUR SKIN. You end up looking orangey and squinty eyed. When you put on a lot of foundation and have on nothing else, people CAN tell. It just looks odd and definitely stands out.

2. Now this one isn't about make up, but I'm going to address it anyway. I see girls all the time wearing shirts that are longer than their shorts. You look like you have no pants on. Either get a smaller shirt, or get longer shorts. (I was actually guilty of this yesterday, because I wore a shirt that was too big. Not on purpose! Whoooppsss)

3. When you wear leggings, please make sure they are the right kind. Athletic leggings with a comfy t-shirt, fine. But when it's leggings that are supposed to go under a dress that are slightly see-through and I can see your PINK underwear with the shiny words on them, NOT okay. Put on a dress or get the right leggings girl friend.

That's it for now.
It's almost Friday! Yay!

Homecoming Makeover and Weekend Festivities!

Hey everyone! Yes, I'm finally posting again. As if last week wasn't busy enough, this weekend was even busier! Yesterday was my sisters homecoming and I got to pretty her up! She wanted a dark smokey eye to go with her dress and I thought that it was perfect for what she was going for!

     Before and After!

         More pictures:

The finished look!

I love the color of her dress and it looked amazing with a smokey eye and nude lip!

Get the look:

Foundation- Mac Studio Finish Foundation
Concealer- Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer
Powder- Mac Blotting Powder (translucent)
Blush- Flower Cream Blush in Pure Petunia

First, I applied her foundation using a Sonia Kashuk stippling brush. I LOVE the results I get from applying foundation using a stippling brush, and I really like this one. Next, I applied concealer under her eyes and blended it down the sides of her nose. Then, I brushed a blotting powder over her face, because she has oily skin and, of course, she wanted it to last all night. I finished her face off with the cream blush. I really like the color that showed up on her cheeks and because it was a cream it was long lasting.

Primer- E.L.F. eyelid primer
Eyeshadow- Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Eyeliner- Revlon Color Stay Black Liquid Liner
Mascara- Benefit: They're Real! and Tarte: Lights, Camera, Lashes

For the smokey eye look, I used the Naked 2 palette. First I used foxy under her brows for some highlight, and then used verve all over her lid. Next, I used pistol in her crease and blended it with a little bit darker grey color from my sephora palette. Lastly, I used blackout in her outer corner and BLENDED it in.

Lipliner: Clinique Quick Liner in Honeystick
Lipstick: Rimmel London in Nude Delight
Lipgloss: A coral color from a Sephora Palette

I lined her lips with a pretty nude color liner and filled her lips in with a nude shade. I topped it off with a coral lipgloss to give her lips a little bit of color and some shine. The color didn't show up too much, but that's really what I was going for.

I had a blast hanging out with her and some of my family! She looked gorgeous last night and I'm so happy I got to fix her up!

Here's a few more pictures from yesterday because they were too cute not to post! This is my little cousin, Lily, isn't she the cutest? Love my girl!

And as always, I have to mention my tigers win last night! Yes, I was at the game last night and it was cold and rainy, but I still had a blast with my man and his sister! Geaux Tigers!!!
Cheesy faces :)

Have a restful Sunday!

Coming Soon...

I know I've been putting my blog off for quite some time now. Thats probably because of the ridiculous amounts of homework I have each night. Who knew spanish could be so time consuming? PLUS all of the homework from my business classes. It becomes a little overwhelming. When I'm not doing homework I'm either working, which is Monday through Friday, or I'm at a game (two wins so far! woo hoo!) So you can see why I haven't posted in a while. I'm trying to get into a little routine and figure everything out. It's still early in the semester so I'm getting used to everything again, and I'm trying to find time to fit in the blog! I have a few ideas for my next few posts, so keep checking in! Hopefully they're coming soon!

By the way, did y'all see them tigers?? WOOOO the guys are looking awesome! So excited for our first SEC game (September 21). Geaux Tigers!
